The festive season is upon us and it’s our pleasure to invite you to the 2021 AWS Christmas Holiday dinner, hosted at the Faculty Club.
About this Event

The festive season, for AWS has returned and we are very pleased to invite you and your guests to the 2021 AWS Christmas Holiday dinner, hosted at the Faculty Club on Saturday December 18th, at one of our traditionally favourites venues, the recently reopened Faculty Club. Chef Brad and his crew will be preparing seasonally inspired offerings and our Cellar Master Joe Gentile has selected wines from our AWS cellar, that will bring out the best in both the food and wine. Music will be playing in the background; party favours await at the table.

The evening will commence with a reception from 6:30 p.m. with sparkling wine and a great selection of hors d'oeuvres. We will begin seating for our three course Christmas dinner shortly before 7:00 p.m..

Cost will be $115 for AWS members and $130 for non-member guests.

Our wine selections for the evening:


❖ Majella Sparkling Shiraz    ❖ Gapsted Valley Selection Riesling 2016 (King Valley)    ❖ Dandelion Honeypot of the Barossa Roussanne 2017 (Barossa Valley)    ❖ Pertaringa Undercover Shiraz 2015 (McLaren Vale).

A savoury selection of hors d’oeuvres chosen by Chef Brad will accompany the reception wine.

Our three course dinner will include:

First Course (choice of one)

  • Maple Roasted Butternut Squash Soup - Fresh Garden Chives and Toasted Pumpkin Seeds
  • Caesar Wedge Salad - Baby Gem Lettuce, House Made Caesar Dressing, Crispy Fried Prosciutto, Pangrattato, Grana Padano Cheese, and Balsamic Reduction

Main Course (choice of one)

  • Traditional Roast Turkey – Breast and Leg Meat, Apple Sage Stuffing, Pan Gravy, Butter Whipped Potatoes, Cranberry Sauce, Seasonal Vegetables
  • Grilled Striploin – 8 ounces of AAA Canadian Certified Beef, Red Wine Jus, Butter Whipped Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables
  • Moroccan Stew - Carrots, Sweet Peppers, Cauliflower Simmered In A Moroccan Spiced Coconut Broth, Steamed Rice, Toasted Cashews, and Scallions

Desert Course (choice of one)

  • Chocolate Crème Brulé - Topped With A Crisp Caramelized Sugar Crust. Fresh Field Berries
  • New York Style Cheesecake - Triple Berry Compote
