About this Event
A landmark year in palaeontology, 2024 marks the 200th anniversary of the first dinosaur to receive a formal scientific name (Megalosaurus) and the 40th anniversary of the first dinosaur fossil found in Scotland.
Join University of Edinburgh professor Steve Brusatte FRSE and three of his students for this interactive panel discussion about dinosaurs.
They will present their latest research, discuss how new techniques and technologies revolutionise palaeontology, introduce the dinosaurs and other ancient creatures that once called Scotland home, and lead the audience in a question-and-answer session.
Come discover the new world of research into dinosaurs and their rich history in Scotland.
