Om Shanti Om Yoga Ashram 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training program is a gateway for those who are exploring spiritual and yogic life. The Yoga Teachers (yoga gurus) at our Ashram have deep personal insight into the path of classical hatha yoga and are happy to further illuminate the intricacies of yogic theory and its application.
The teaching of Hatha yoga during our 200-hour teacher-training course involves the performance of certain asanas which are held for an extended period whilst practicing deep breathing techniques. The course also includes kriyas (cleansing practices) pranayama (breathwork) meditation and philosophy. It is said that the best way to teach is from your own experience.

OBJECTIVES OF THE YOGA TEACHER TRAINING COURSE:
» Cultivate a daily practice of Kriyas Asanas Pranayama Bandha Mudras and Dhyana.
» Deepen understanding of Yoga Anatomy and Physiology.
» Introduction to Structural Yoga Therapy.
» Study Philosophy through classical Yoga texts (Bhagavad Gita Patanjali Yoga Sutras Hathayoga Pradipika Gheranda Samhita and the Upanishads).
» Introduction to Ayurveda and Marma Points.
» Develop and conduct a 90-minute Asana Class for peers incorporating these elements.
» Prepare and present a 30-minute session to peers on various yoga-related topics (Yoga Nidra Ayurveda Yogic Diet Anatomy Physiology Chakras Philosophy Mudras Mantra Chanting & Keertan etc.).
