Two of Edmonton’s only professional big bands go head to head for an evening of musical acrobatics that has to be seen to be believed!! 36 musicians on one stage!! One exceptional ticket price! The Rhythm Gunners Big Band is a part of the Royal Canadian Artillery Band — voluntary donations for the Military Family Resource Centre will be being collected to help support our troops! This project is supported by the Edmonton Arts council, the City of Edmonton, and the Edmonton Downtown Business Association. The Don Berner Big Band is the city of Edmonton’s flagship large jazz ensemble. An Edmonton jazz favourite for over a decade, the Don Berner Big Band became the first professional large jazz ensemble in Edmonton to have a fully programmed concert season in 2021. Featuring Edmonton’s best jazz musicians, the Don Berner Big Band presents an eclectic season drawing from classic big band and swing repertoire, collaborations with contemporary and pop artists, adaptations of works from other mediums, and more with a variety of special illustrious guests.
