Welcome to the 2-day Statewide EMET Workshop 2025!
Join us for a hands-on experience in building you emergency medicine knowledge and skills. This in-person event will take place at the Anne O'Byrne Education Centre, Level 1, tunapri mapali, 39 Frankland Street, Launceston General Hospital, Launceston. The event will start at 9:00am, Friday November 28 2025 (with the registration desk open from 08:30am) and conclude by 4:00pm on Saturday November 29, 2025.
Topics to be covered over the two days include:
- A-E assessment and management of critically ill or injured patients
- Point-of-care-ultrasound
- Working with retrieval services in Tasmania
- Skills & simulation-based learning
Be ready to learn from our wonderful Department of Emergency Medicine teams from the Launceston General Hospital, North West Regional Hospital and the Royal Hobart Hospital, as well as clinicians from the Tasmanian retrieval service. Come prepared to participate in interactive workshops and network with fellow professionals - your ticket includes the networking session where canapes are provided, and you can purchase drinks.

EMET is an Australian College for Emergency Medicine program, and provides education, training and supervision to doctors and other health professionals working in emergency departments and emergency care services who are not specifically trained in emergency medical care.
