Nadine is an equine veterinarian and liberty trainer with a keen interest in the equine brain, autonomic nervous system, biomechanics and the horse-human connection. Nadine’s main focus is liberty training in a way that boosts the horses confidence, sparks his curiosity and unlocks his playful spirit. She also loves historical dressage and incorporates “power postures” and collected dressage movements at liberty to build the horse up mentally, emotionally and physically.
Nadine’s philosophy revolves around putting the horse and the relationship first. She communicates with the horse through slow gentle guidance, always giving the horse time to think and the option to leave. This sense of safety, choice and autonomy is one of the key elements to an eager, playful and expressive horse! She also incorporates positive reinforcement (food rewards) to motivate the horse to follow and search through the guidance!
In this clinic you will learn:

- How to begin liberty training with a horse with no previous liberty training
- How to incorporate food rewards into the training effectively and systematically in a way that avoids undesirable behaviour
