Day 1 - Plan on meeting at the Merced Arco (Hwy 59 & Santa Fe) at 730 am with KSU at 8 am. We will take 120 into Yosemite NP, stop in Lee Vining for lunch and check out the Mono Lake Area.
Day 2 - All meet up to ride to Bodie Ghost Town, have lunch TBD, then ride back on 108 to Merced
We will do the ride in reverse.
I plan to head out of Merced and ride through Yosemite Park (120), lunch in Lee Vining, then take in the sites of Mono Lake. On Sunday, meet up and then ride to check out the Bodie State Historic Ghost Town, do Lunch, then take Route 108 back home.
I have found there are a few Motel choices in the area, with vacancies right now. But with the Free Park Day - probably need to make an early reservation to ensure a place to stay. I’m looking at staying at the Walker Motel (right across the street from the Mtn View BBQ and those unforgettable string fries!). But everyone will need to figure out what kind of accommodations they require.
