Dancing Ting Seattle Presents: A two-day empowering "Gyal Time" Female Dancehall dance workshops with out of town guest instructor Mixie. Mixie is a professional dancehall dancer, choreographer, and educator and is excited to share her experiences in and passion for Dancehall. This intensive is a space for you to tap into your feminine energy, raise your confidence, have fun, and feel amazing!
*Early Bird pricing ends June 30th* All Levels and Beginners are welcome! No experience necessary. You can take one or both workshops.
Day 1: Intro to Female Dancehall: Culture, Dance, Vibes!

July 23 @ 6-7:30pm (Open Level - Beginner Friendly)
Description: "Female-Style Dancehall" is the space and energy that originates from Jamaican Dancehall culture for women to express themselves and feel confident. This workshop is an introduction to the culture, history, dance, vibes, and style inspired by the Jamaican women and Dancehall Queens who paved the way for this space for all women to feel empowered. Mixie will create a safe and welcoming space for women of all levels to have fun, learn, and will share her own unique experience in and passion for Jamaican culture.
Day 2: Female Dancehall Choreography
July 24 @ 5-6:30pm (Open Level - Beginner Friendly)
Description: Learn a Female-Style Dancehall Choreography that will create the space for you to express your powerful bold and sensual energy. Mixie's approach to teaching will also allow you to learn about and acknowledge the culture and history behind the dance moves and vibes that inspire the choreography.
