Come play marimba! First-timers welcome!
Experience a new activity and learn a new creative skill!
Event starts with a hands-on lesson for newcomers, learning to navigate around a marimba, hold mallets and play rhythms and patterns for a simplified beginner piece. The 2nd hour is led by current players who'll play more advanced pieces, while newcomers can play along on basic chords. You'll be playing in a band that afternoon!
* $10; no reservations needed
* no experience necessary; all ages welcome, adults and youth from age 7.
* Instruments provided in studio
* Location: Fort Collins Marimba Studio, 2220 S. College Avenue (80525); Frontage Road across from Whole Foods & OfficeMax (one house from Columbia)
