Learn about the edible world that surrounds you, unlock the magic of mycelium and find out about how incredible foraging is, and notice more in your environment than ever before.

The secrets of nature will be revealed with our expert leaders comprised of foragers, scientists and herbalists, giving unique perspectives on the folklore, history, uses and medicinal nature of the plants you see. Gain a new found appreciation for your environment by learning how to identify edible plants, fungi and berries on your own, and how to incorporate them into your routines

What to expect on the day:

Step off the beaten path and into a world of edible possibilities. This short foraging course is the perfect introduction to the wild world of foraging. Learn practical plant ID skills, responsible harvesting, and delicious foods in a relaxed, outdoor setting.

Led by expert foragers with deep local knowledge, you’ll discover how to identify common edible and toxic species, learn how to forage safely and sustainably, and get inspired to incorporate wild flavours into your meals.

  • 2 hour foraging walk
  • Two foraging experts to lead the walk
  • Instruction on how to identify edible plants, herbs, flowers, fungi & fruits
  • Key safety rules and what not to pick
  • Seasonal foraging tips and how to find sought-after edibles in your environment
  • Ethical and legal rules around foraging
  • How to harvest, store, and use wild ingredients
  • Plant and fungi Q&A with your instructors

A perfect experience for anyone wanting to connect to nature more, foodies and chefs, curious dog walkers, hobby and avid hikers, those wanting to spend more time in nature, outdoor adventure enthusiasts, campers, small groups and any beginner wanting to dip their toe into foraging! All are welcome! (age restrictions apply).
