$1st International Bogdan Paprocki Opera Singers\u2019 Competition$

The 1st Bogdan Paprocki International Opera Singers' Competition will take place from 16th to 23rd November 2025 at the Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, one of the largest opera house in Poland. The Organisers are the Feliks Nowowiejski Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz and the Bogdan Paprocki Association. This will be the first international vocal competition of such a high level in northern Poland - three stages and The Final with orchestra. For the Jury of the Competition we have invited the greatest authorities of Polish singing, artists who have proven their artistry on the greatest opera stages in the world. Our invitation was accepted by Ewa Vesin, Agnieszka Rehlis, Tadeusz Szlenkier, Artur Ruciński, Rafał Siwek and Magdalena Idzik - secretary on behalf of the Bogdan Paprocki Association.
In addition, the directors of all the opera houses in Poland accepted the invitation to take part in the third stage of the jury's deliberations.
We hope that they will be able to select from the participants of the 1st Bogdan Paprocki International Opera Singers' Competition the laureates worthy of the patron.
The prize pool for the competition is 150.000 PLN (35.000 €). The laureates will receive large cash prizes - 6 main prizes (three in each of two categories - female and male) and distinctions. In addition, the directors invited to the third stage will receive prizes in the form of participation in opera performances. The programme of the competition contain world opera literature with a special focus on the works of Polish composers.
