We are pleased to announce that our Rose Cottage and Friends Annual Open House Event has outgrown its space after just 4 years! Last year was full to bursting in that sweet little cottage with all of you kind and wonderful folks that love and support all of us. So, after much deliberation and the closing of Rose Cottage… MOONbow ARTworks, A Lady’s Slipper Studio, Laurel Ridge Studios, Jesco’s Craft Attic, Cranberry Acre, and Black Oak Mountain Arts have decided to uproot and change this magical and wonderful event into something even more special.
Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Rose Cottage and Friends will henceforth be run by our newly formed guild of crafty siSTARS, the Appa-Lassies, as a Yuletide Night Market! This year’s event is taking place from 3 pm to 9 pm at Seven Sisters Brewery, located at 355 E. Main St., Wytheville, Virginia…just two blocks from where it all began! If the weather is lovely, we will be setting up under the old farmer’s market stalls located in front of Seven Sisters…just like a real old fashioned Yuletide Market! If the weather is too blustery we will be setting up inside of the brewery.
This year we are also pleased to announce that we have two very special guests. Multi-talented artist, Ellery Flynn, of HandWerk Studios, will be returning home to Wytheville, for the weekend, from Louisville, Kentucky. She will be showing off her gorgeous stained-glass pieces and beautifully hand dyed, silk velvet, scarves. We will also be joined by a new and fabulous Wytheville resident, Amy Lough. She will be regaling us with traditional Appalachian music and song on her mountian dulcimer. You will not want to miss a moment of her lovely voice of the spirit of the mountains.
We are excited about this new adventure in showing our art for purchase for the holiday season and our partnership with Seven Sisters Brewery. We look forward to seeing you there and beginning a new and wonderful holiday tradition in Downtown Wytheville!
