The Miss Juneteenth Minnesota State Pageant & Dinner is here! Join us in recognizing the extraordinary achievements of young women who have completed comprehensive training in etiquette, public speaking, confidence-building, and more. Transforming Lives, One Woman at a Time: This powerful event not only impacts the lives of young girls but also resonates with many more women of color, sparking hope and optimism for a brighter tomorrow.
Miss Juneteenth Minnesota staff and board of directors have committed to achieving our mission and vision. That commitment includes a relentless dedication to give our time, talents, and effort to pour into the young women of color in our community to become a supportive foundation for them.
Our goals are:
Redefine our freedom by increasing people of color's self-worth, self-confidence, and education of the history and purpose of Juneteenth.
Rediscover our culture and heritage by educating individuals about the birth of and purpose of Juneteenth. Reduce mental anxiety for young women of color by encouraging them to embrace their diversity. Encourage and cultivate financial wealth for people of color. Establish a platform and environment that allows the expression of their gifts, talents, and beauty without the social norms and criteria.
Empower these girls so that they will be freed from social struggles due to their differences and, subsequently, reduce their anxiety and insecurities and encourage them to become productive citizens and future leaders, preparing them for success in their future endeavors.
