Mental Illness affects 1 out of every 5 people! My name is Jeff Belonger (OEDL member & past board member), and I have lost two veteran friends & one civilian friend to suicide! As a Combat Engineer Army veteran, my passion & goal is to end suicide! There are approximately 22 veterans a day who commit suicide!
I am raising funds to donate to the Philly Vet Center (helps veterans & their families) & NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness - helps civilian families & veterans)!
I am holding a dart shoot at Cavanaugh's Rittenhouse on May 11th (upstairs). Sign-ups start at noon. There will be FREE food (supplied by Cav's Rittenhouse), discounted drink & beers specials, raffles (many different kinds of prizes), 50/50, t-shirts & more!
The entry cost is 20 matchsticks! 2 person teams & Chicago style format best of 3. 50% will be donated to the organizations mentioned about. The other 50% will be split. 60% to the winning team & 40% to the 2nd place team. You can actually sign up prior to May 11th (see link below). You can register online (now) or in-person on May 11th at Cav's from noon until 1 pm. Darts will fly at 1:15 pm.

FYI - You can still attend the event if not throwing darts. As mentioned, there will be raffles and more. We'll also have a bucket to donate cash in person.

Also, I am looking for more donations and a few sponsorships! A sponsor is $250. What you get? Your name & logo on our t-shirt, a sponsor sign hung under the dart boards, a shoutout on our social media channels & your logo on the back of our business card with event info.
