Please join us for the 1st Annual Karrine Yee Memorial Fundraiser. We have partnered with two amazing women-led organizations to honor Karrine's memory and build a lasting legacy alongside Gina Dettmer (Cofounder & Outreach Coordinator, Bright Minds Africa) and Vanessa Garcia (Owner, 7 Mile House).
Join us during Karrine's heavenly birthday week, either by dine-in or **take out** and a generous 20% of sales will be donated to Bright Minds Africa in Karrine's honor.

Karrine was part of the 7 Mile House family. You would have seen her behind the bar, chatting with the regular customers and always ready to make friends with new ones. It was there she found her community of co-workers and patrons she loved so dearly. She often called it "her happy place." After her passing, Vanessa and the 7Mile Family dedicated the restaurant’s beer garden patio to her memory. The beautiful wood engraved sign "Karrine's Happy Place" welcomes all who come to the establishment.
Bright Minds Africa is an amazing non-profit organization that focuses on empowering young women and providing educational opportunities in Nigeria and Cameroon. In 2022, Gina Dettmer of Bright Minds Africa gathered donations from Karrine's friends, teammates, classmates, and teachers to build a soccer field for female athletes. You can see the dedication of the field and its impact on the community in this brief YouTube Video (). The field is located on the campus of the girls’ school that Bright Minds Africa is building in Nasarawa Toto, Nigeria. The organization also collected and donated AYSO uniforms and equipment for the athletes. Bright Minds Africa is grateful to be able to celebrate Karrine's love for soccer by giving girls the opportunity to play soccer in a part of the world where young women are discouraged from playing sports.
