The primary purpose of this trip is to provide an immersive and educational experience centered around California history, outdoor recreation, and community building. We aim to foster a deeper understanding of the natural environment and the diverse stories woven into the state's landscape.
Signing up for the trip has no costs which cover transportation, permits, and activity fees. This allows us to ensure a safe and well-organized experience. Full details on costs are available upon request.

The Kern River is located in the southern Sierra Nevada mountains of California, flowing southward through the Kern River Valley before emptying into Lake Isabella. It is renowned for its scenic beauty and opportunities for outdoor recreation.
Allensworth, California, is the only town in the state founded, financed, and governed by African Americans. Established in 1908 by Lieutenant Colonel Allen Allensworth, it represented a vision of self-determination and economic independence for Black Americans. Its history is one of resilience, community spirit, and perseverance in the face of significant challenges.
