This year marks our return to Harkness Auditorium together - come join us as we engage with speakers, interact with one another in workshops, network, and enjoy the camraderie and support of being part of this community. This conference is a unique opportunity to meet with people who experience BPD, expert clinicians, researchers, and family members of those who experience BPD, and stakeholders. This year’s Yale-NEABPD Conference will feature a day-long hybrid (in-person or virtual conference) on Friday, May 5th, 2023 focused on understanding the role of attachment and trauma as underlying many of the difficulties associated with borderline personality disorder.

Our day-long virtual conference will feature:

  • Keynote presentation by Dr. Judith Herman, leading expert in research and treatment of traumatic stress.
  • A range of presentations by leading researchers and clinicians in the field, including Dr. Maureen Zalewski, Dr. Jennifer Gomez, Dr. Nathalie Edmond, and Dr. Susan South
  • Presentations by individuals with lived experience of borderline personality disorder and their family members
  • A poster session featuring the latest research and initiatives for borderline personality disorder
  • An Exhibition Hall open during the hour-long mid-day break, with opportunities to visit our sponsors’ and exhibitors’ booths and resources

All conference events are open to mental health professionals, training clinicians, researchers, those with lived BPD experience, and their family members.

Continuing Education Credits:

Continuing Education Credits will be available to attending mental health professionals. Receipt of CEUs requires you to attend the full conference live on Friday, May 5, 2023. CEUs will not be provided to professionals unable to attend the conference in it’s entirety on May 5, 2023. No reimbursements will be available to professionals unable to adhere to policies and procedures required to receive CEUs. Professionals looking to receive continuing education credits must register accordingly in their registration. Please stay tuned for further information about CEUs, including details about eligible profession types and other requirements.

Please note that we are providing an option for a boxed lunch for those attendees who will to join the Trainee Lunch and hear Dr. Edmond speak. If you wish to bring your own bagged lunch, feel free. For those that wish to purchase lunch outside of the conference, please note that you will not be able to enter the room to hear Dr. Edmond speak after she has started her talk.
