The North Forsyth 400 Rotary Club will be holding a charity shooting event at the Etowah Valley Sporting Clays Range in Dawsonville. The event will be held on Friday, Oct. 17th 2025 at 12:30p.m. registration starts at 11:30am with lunch to follow. Shooting will start at 12:30p.m. and beverages will be available after the event.Sporting Clays is a shotgun sport. It is made up of 15 stations, each with two clay pigeon throwers. Each station is set up to represent a different type of game bird. Some targets are thrown going away from you, some are coming toward you, some are thrown in crossing patterns and some are even rolled along the ground.
Each shooter will shoot between 6 & 8 shots at each station for a total of 100 shots in the round. Sporting clays are extremely challenging and fun for everyone from the newest shooter to the most experienced hunter and shooting enthusiast.
