Newark LGBTQIA+ Pride Week is distinguished by its deep connection to the local community and commitment to honoring the legacy of individuals who have come before us. It serves as both a celebration and a remembrance, fostering unity and resilience in Newark.

Monday, July 8:

Pride Flag Raising Ceremony at Newark City Hall, sponsored by the City of Newark LGBTQ Commission.

Flag Raising Reception at Kinjo, a modern Japanese restaurant.

Tuesday, July 9:

Sakia Gunn Annual Day of Service, sponsored by the Essex County Office of LGBTQ Affairs.

Newark Downtown District Pride Game Night at KilKennys.

Pride Happy Hour at Bar Vanquish.

Wednesday, July 10:

Wellness Wednesday Health Fair sponsored by Garden State Equality, hosted on Treat Place and Rainbow Alley.

Pride Doja Lounge & Community Conversation at Plantivia, focusing on Black Queer Relationships.

Thursday, July 11:

The 711 Disco sponsored by ArtFront Galleries, a locally LGBTQ-owned business.

The Session: Music Jam at ArtFront Gallery.

Friday, July 12:

Inaugural Pride Fundraiser Soiree sponsored by Mars-Wrigley at the Ironsides building.

Brick City Comedy Revue – Newark Pride Edition at Newark Local Beer.

Saturday, July 13:

5th Annual Lincoln Park Music Festival House Music Bar Crawl at various locations downtown.

Art Block Love Party on Treat Place and Rainbow Alley.

Sunday, July 14:

Newark LGBTQ Pride Parade starting at 12 PM.

19th Annual Newark LGBTQ Pride in the Park at Harriet Tubman Square from 1 PM - 6 PM.

Legacy Ball 3 sponsored by NJPAC.

Throughout the week, attendees can enjoy wellness workshops, community service projects, cultural performances, and more, ensuring a diverse and engaging experience for all participants.
