Patty Cooper Wells, Friends, and Madison Area Arts Alliance co-hosts a special screening of the newly restored 1929 "King of the Kongo" movie starring Boris Karloff. This unique educational day will feature a panel discussion by film historians Eric Grayson and Sara Karloff, daughter of film legend Boris Karloff.
Meet & Greet!
The legendary Boris Karloff, a gorilla, a lost treasure, and a dinosaur! What could be cooler? Film historian Eric Grayson was awarded the Rondo Award for Monster Kid of the Year 2024 for his restoration of this film, a labor of love that took 4 1/2 years with assistants from around the world.
Karloff's own daughter, Sara, will be in attendance to sign photos and discuss her father's legacy. This event will include a special Karloff tribute art exhibit.
