On September 29th, 2006, Craig Schurman Condon passed away from pancreatic cancer, just 8 weeks after diagnosis. This is awareness event is where it all started back in 2007! The Annual Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Walk/Run/Bike is our longest running event going 18 years strong. It's been pivotal in our fight against Pancreatic Cancer, which despite being the eleventh most commonly diagnosed cancer in Canada, is the third leading cause of cancer deaths in the country. Less than one third of patients will survive a year after diagnosis.
Participants can register as individuals, families or as teams and have the choice of walking, running and cycling routes, within the park or around Porter's Lake.
On September 28th 2024, participants will gather to honour or remember loved ones diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, while raising much needed funds and awareness to fight against the disease.
