The Flint Institute of Arts Museum + Art School presents the 18th Annual Community Gala on February 1, 2025. This spectacular event celebrates the exhibition opening for "Romare Bearden: Artist as Activist and Visionary." The evening will feature a lecture related to the exhibition, followed by live entertainment, heavy hors d’euvres, and a cash bar.
"Romare Bearden: Artist as Activist and Visionary" will be on view at the FIA from February 2 to April 20, 2025 in the Hodge & Temporary Galleries.
Theater seating is first come, first served. The presentation begins promptly at 6p. Cocktail attire.
Proceeds from the event benefit exhibitions and the expansion of the African American art collection at the FIA. (Sponsorships and ticket purchases are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.)
