January and February First Saturday classes will focus on developing the basic skills necessary to perform Quadrilles and Country Dances of the 1830s. All of our classes start with introductions, a gentle warm-up and simple walking drills to get your brain connected to your feet (and hopefully the music!). No previous dance experience is expected, and no partner is necessary - if this is something you've always wanted to do and can't get your friends to commit, come join us by yourself. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment for everyone who wants to learn and improve their dancing. We wear comfortable, modern clothing for dance class. We suggest you bring a change of clean, comfortable shoes with low or no heel to practice in. Dirty, muddy, or wet footwear is not permitted in the ballroom, as it damages the hardwood floor.
Cost to purchase one single class: $15
Cost to purchase a package of 2 classes: $25
This class will be excellent preparation for The Lamplight Ball on March 7, 2026 in Ayer, MA.
