* Please help spread the word and invite everyone! *Back by popular demand, it's a night of filthy knitters and flagrant holiday alcoholism; better known as the Sleigh Ride. Pull out your Christmas sweaters, Santa hats and accessories, dust them off, and get ready to drunkenly belt out the classic Christmas carols.
This year is the 17th annual and it's going to be huge! Sleigh Ride veterans know the drill by now... but for those that are new, I'll go over the rules & itinerary so we're all on the same page.
* * * ITINERARY * * *
BAR #1: OCEAN PARK PUB
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
- Try to get there right at 6:00, it fills up fast and if the bar gets to capacity you'll have to wait in line!
- Hop on the bus from here at 8! The bus will be right outside the bar on 16th Ave.
BAR #2: WEST BEACH BAR & GRILL
8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
- Hop off the bus and hit West Beach!
BAR #3: THE OCEAN BEACH
10:00 pm - Close (2 am or later depending on the crowd)
- Walk from West Beach down Marine Dr to the OB
- If you make it this far, you have officially conquered the Sleigh Ride.
OVERFLOW BAR: CHARLIE DON'T SURF
- If West Beach or the OB is too full and you can't get in (this usually happens), not to worry! Just head into Charlie which is right next door! Most people like to hop back and forth between bars all night, I highly encourage this.
* * * RULES * * *
- You MUST wear a Christmas sweater. If you don't have a sweater just go to Value Village and grab one for like $10, no excuses!
- Accessories like Santa hats and goofy necklaces etc. are HIGHLY encouraged!
- Be respectful to the bars, bar staff, bus drivers, and everyone else that facilitates this event! Dealing with hundreds of drunks isn't easy.
- Try not to start any fights please.
- Please bring lots of CASH to buy drinks with. This will speed up wait times for drinks significantly.
- Spread the Christmas spirit, let loose and have a good time.
Everyone is welcome to come, feel free to invite as many people as you want, as long as they OBEY THE RULES.
