Travel to Japan without the airfare or jet lag. The Japanese program and the Japan Club at Sacramento State, in conjunction with the College of Arts and Letters Festival of the Arts “Sunday Funday,” present the 15th annual Japan Day. Japan Day celebrates the language, culture, and traditions of Japan and is fun for the entire family. This year’s theme is "Omotenashi: Japanese Hospitality"
The event features a variety of traditional and modern performances, including a Taiko drumming performance at 1:00pm, martial arts demonstrations, cosplay, Sac State’s Soran Bushi dance, and more. In addition, there are many hands-on learning activities available, such as origami, calligraphy, board games, drawing, and dancing. Try your hand at origami, and fold a paper crane for peace, or even dress up in a kimono.
Free and ample parking is available on the campus. For more information, contact Kazue Masuyama [email protected] or visit https://sites.google.com/view/jdaysac/2023-j-day
