About this Event
The 1715 Treasure Fleet was a combination of two Spanish treasure fleets returning from the New World to Spain, hulls filled with treasure. The fleet set sail from Cuba on July 24, 1715, but was struck by a hurricane off the coast of Florida a few days later. Eleven of the twelve ships in the fleet wrecked, killing over 1,000 people. The sunken ships lay forgotten for more than 200 years until modern treasure hunters discovered several of them. Lawrence Erhart will lead us in a fascinating seminar about this wreck and the treasure discovered. Don’t miss it!
We are thrilled to have Lawrence Erhart give this talk. He is a rare coin and currency expert, estate buying, convention marketing, specializing in rare bank notes, obsolete notes, large currency and U.S. domestic coinage.
This program is best suited for Adults. Registration is not required.
