About this Event
As stories of male high school students ranking their female peers via sexualised spreadsheets hit the headlines, it's clear that education around treating girls and women with respect needs to be examined more closely.
In Jane Gilmore's insightful new book, Fairytale Princesses Will K*ll Your Children, she explores what fairy tale princesses, rape myths and the Fixed It project have in common.
In this important live event, Jane talks with writer and interviewer Claire Halliday to discuss how parents, carers and educators can work together to help support young people and reduce the risks of gendered violence.
This author talk is in support of 16 Days of Activism, a key part of our communities’ efforts to prevent violence against women. 16 Days of Activism against gender based violence runs between 25 November - 10 December 2024.
