16 Days of Activism against Gendered Violence:Join us for the launch of the 16 Days of Activism against Gendered Violence on Friday 28th November.
At 9:15am we will meet at Toronto Town Square and walk to the library in Pemell St at 9:30 for the launch event at 10:00am. Displayed in the library is a 22m long knitted project, contributed by a domestic violence survivor. A light morning tea will be provided after the launch event.
To highlight the 16 Days of Activism, many of the trees and columns of the pavilion at the foreshore reserve have been wrapped with multi-coloured knitted yarn contributed by local knitters.
After the launch event everyone is invited to walk down to the foreshore to admire the colourful tree wrapping.
Please wear a purple or orange shirt if you have one to remind people that we say NO to domestic and family violence, and YES to respectful relationships.
