🧡 Stopping Family and Domestic Violence: Play Your Part 🧡
Following our Candlelight Vigil and Community Beach Walk, we invite you to continue the journey with a series of Dream Dress Healing Creation Workshops.
Join us in the Mess Hall at Southern Aboriginal Corporation, 27 Chester Pass Road, where together we will recreate the Dream Dress - one meaningful piece at a time.
👗About the Dream Dress:
The Dream Dress and accompanying poem represent the lived experiences of victim-survivors of family and domestic violence.
It honours the countless women who have courageously shared their stories - their pain, their resilience, and their path toward recovery.
It symbolises:
🔸A journey from fear to safety
🔸The right to live free from violence and judgement
🔸The strength to rebuild, reclaim identity, and dream again
🔸The reminder that no one walks this journey alone
What to Expect:
With various tactile materials, these workshops offer a safe, creative space to craft, yarn, and connect. CLE will be available, and access to services can be provided upon request.
Community members and service providers are encouraged to join us - come to one session or all, whatever feels right for you.
