Step into the wonder of the night sky as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Dark Skies Festival with renowned astronomer Martin Lunn, MBE. This event promises to be a fun, family-friendly evening filled with stories, stargazing, and a touch of science!
High Trenhouse, located in the stunning Yorkshire Dales, is one of the last places in the UK to experience truly dark skies. This is your chance to unplug, connect with nature, and gaze at the universe with one of the UK's leading astronomers.
With just a 1 in 3 chance of perfect starry skies due to winter weather, this event is an adventure! Even if the stars are shy, Martin's talk will make your evening unforgettable.
What to Expect:
Stargazing: Explore the night sky guided by Martin’s expert knowledge. Using a laser pointer, he’ll highlight celestial wonders like The Plough, Orion, Jupiter, and Mars.
Indoor Talk & Slideshow: Learn about the Spring Sky, sprinkled with myths, legends, and the latest astronomical updates.
