About this Event
The Annual Neuroscience Nursing Symposium is a one-day conference held in November each year that provides updates on new developments, evidence-based treatments, and the specialization of neuroscience in nursing practice. Amy Eisenberg, MSN, ARNP, CNRN, program director of the Nursing Symposium and nurse practitioner at Pacific Neuroscience Institute developed the program in 2010.
This conference has grown steadily over the years with participants from Providence Saint John’s as well as other hospitals in the area. Speakers are experts from the Brain Tumor, Pituitary Disorders and other Centers of Excellence who cover a variety of aspects regarding the management of pituitary and brain tumor disorders. Recognizing the importance of advanced neuroscience nursing experience, a multidisciplinary team-based approach with specialty nurses playing a key role in the healing and recovery of neurosurgery and neuro-oncology patients is always emphasized.
