15TH Annual GOLD STAR FAMILY Ruck March
Come join us for the 15th Annual GOLD STAR FAMILY Ruck March at Travis Air Force Base! It's a day to honor and remember our fallen heroes while showing supporting their families. Lace up your boots, grab your rucksack, build your team (optional), and march alongside Gold Star families to show your respect and appreciation. Let's come together as a community to pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. See you there!

***All canned goods collected are donated to Mission Solano***
What is a GOLD STAR FAMILY
A GOLD STAR Family (GSF) is one who has had any member of the immediate family die in defense of our country while serving in any branch of the armed forces. Travis Air Force Base honors and supports the families of the members who made the ultimate sacrifice through our Annual Gold Star Ruck March.
Event Details
- The ruck course is 6.2 miles (10K) long, and is child/stroller-friendly.
- You may compete as a 4-person team, or as an individual in one of the two categories listed below:
1. HEAVY: Participants must carry 30 pound rucksack. We encourage you to fill your ruck with non-perishable canned food that will be donated to Mission Solano following the event.
2. LIGHT: Participants' rucks weigh under 30lbs. While competing in the LIGHT category, participants may choose not to carry a rucksack.
Dress code for the event, regardless of participation category, is as follows: Civilian athletic attire maybe worn by any participant. Military uniforms maybe worn by military personnel in accordance with DAFI 36-2903.
Participation Cost:
1. 4-person teams $65
2. Individuals $20
3. Free for GOLD STAR FAMILY members or Spouses/Children of Deployed Service Members
- Each ticket will recive one entry into a give away at the end of the event.

Additional information:
- Share the Event to family and friends and ask them to donate under your name. The participant with the most donations will win a prize at the end of the event.
