About this Event
Hosted by Firdaus Sani, the founder of Orang Laut SG and Orang Pulau/Laut descendant, this intimate session is an introduction to the rich cuisine and lesser-known stories of the ex-islanders who used to live on Pulau Semakau. Prepared by his mother and aunt who used to live on Semakau till 1977, the food is prepared with love using recipes and cooking techniques taught by their ancestors.
Important Details:
1. As seats are limited, there will be no refund provided for cancellation upon successful registration.
2. This session will be held at The Black Sampan located at 269C New Bridge Road.
3. Kindly note that the venue is a 4th storey shophouse with no lift access. Unfortunately, we have to discourage anyone with physical disabilities to participate in this event.
4. The food will be prepared by former Pulau Semakau islanders, Mdm Nooraini & Mdm Rohaini in a Muslim household.
5. More details about the event will be shared via mobile and/or email upon registration.
6. In case of event cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will be contacted prior to the event.
