About this Event
Explore one of the significant places for the Orang Pulau community; West Coast Park. Also known as Pasir Panjang, it is the only place that collectively berths the sampans of the active members who used to live in the southern islands. This guided tour will be hosted by Firdaus Sani, an Orang Pulau/Laut descendant to bring light to lesser-known stories from the community and its traditions, accompanied by a little afternoon snack.
Important Details:
1. As seats are limited, there will be no refund provided for cancellation upon successful registration.
2. This session will be held in the vicinity of West Coast Park.
3. In case of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances, participants will be informed prior to the event of any cancellation.
4. The food/snacks included in the tour will be prepared by former Pulau Semakau islanders, Mdm Nooraini & Mdm Rohaini in a Muslim household.
