The Annual Village Wassail will start at 6.30 pm on 18th January 2025. We will process from the Halfway House along Hall Lane and into the Orchard, creating a hullabaloo as we enter the Orchard, to wake the spirits of the trees, and scare evil spirits away. We then hold a ceremony to bless the trees, before returning to the Halfway House for a free buffet provided by the pub and the Community Group, with entertainment. Please remember to bring something with which to make a noise (saucepans to bang, instruments to blow etc.), and a drinking vessel to partake of the wassail bowl, as well as torches.
