Event Marshal:
Club Volunteer - Each event will be marshaled by a volunteer. Event marshals may participate however they are responsible for ensuring the event moves along towards completion in a reasonable amount of time and willful cheating is not present.
Judges:
Next Man Up Style - Next man up judging means that the first person in line is the driver. The next person in line is the judge. When the driver completes his course, both driver and judge will initial the score card then the driver will move on to the next course. The judge then becomes the driver and the person behind him becomes the judge. In the event there is only one driver in line, the marshal or volunteer will be the judge. For the sake of fairness, avoid judging a friend if you can not judge impartially. Drivers should verbally announce penalties to assist the judge; the judge will record. If you are caught intentionally cheating, that course will be marked as a DNF. This event is supposed to be fun for all with a mildly competitive atmosphere.
Course Building:
Volunteer - courses will be constructed from the provided gate markers according to the class rule set. Courses will be set no earlier than the evening prior and completed no later than thirty minutes before the drivers meeting. Coordinate with the event coordinator if you wish to build courses. All courses will be approved by the event coordinator or marshal. The marshal will ensure compliance by class and doability (courses should be a challenge but not impossible). Minimum 2x 10 Gate Courses Per-Class, Maximum 3x 10 Gate Courses Per Class, The number of courses will be dictated by space and number of truck per class.
On Event Day:
Courses will be open from 10-5. Come and run when you like and leave when you like. The Marshal/Tech for that event must be here no later than 9:30 and remain until relieved or 5pm. If you register to marshal or tech for an event, I expect you to be there.
Note: Marshals/Tech will be compensated for their effort from a portion of the registration fees. I will ask volunteers to register for the event they would like to work once dates are hashed out.
