Welcome to the 14th Annual Progressive Education Summit! Join us for a day filled with Keynote Speaker Shane Safir, over 30 practitioner-to-practioner workshops, student led performances, resources and a couse of breakfast and lunch. Shane Safir has worked at every level of the education system, from the classroom to boardroom, for 25 years. In 2003 after teaching in San Francisco and Oakland she organized the community to launch a new school, the June Jordan School for Equity (JJSE). She is an author, professional developer and leading thinker in education. A powerful advocate for finding and elevating student voice in the classroom and school, deconstructing the current hold of standardized testing to find the most meaningful date to drive our schools, and taking a strong stand for leaders as listeners to our students, communities and teachers. Shane fits perfectly in the Progressive Education Summit tradition. See you there!
