On Saturday July 6, we will have an in person recitation of the 14 Mindfulness Trainings at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 69 Winthrop St, Augusta. We also intend to have it available on the UUCC zoom as a hybrid option for those who cannot travel to Augusta.
The Ceremony and Dharma sharing will be from 10-12; Please arrive by 9:45 to settle in.
For those who can stay for a Bring Your Own lunch, we will hold this from 12-2 in person in Augusta.
This recitation will be open to all who are interested. Please share this invitation widely.
This is a more formal ceremony which includes deep teachings from our practice.
This practice is a gift from our Mindfulness teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh who was a Buddhist monk, a prolific poet and author, and a peace activist (who initiated Engaged Buddhism and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Martin Luther King, Jr.).
