About this Event
This event is designed to help teens cultivate a positive relationship with their bodies and sport, understand basic anatomy, learn about nutrition, explore hormonal changes, and foster teamwork and empathy.
Format: In this 2 hour block, we will spend 1 hour working out and 1 hour on an educational topic with content relevant to the age group. See below for our weekly calendar.
Day 1: Self Appreciation
- Loving our bodies for the things they allow us to do
- Recovery: sleep, downtime, and mobility
- Balancing sport, study, and social life
- Movement Session
Day 2: Basic Anatomy
- Large muscle groups and what they do/how they work together
- Movement Session
Day 3: Nutrition
- Eating for Sport
- Macro and micro-nutrients: what they are, what they do, where to find them - listening to your body and how to recognize when you're not getting enough
- Hydration
- Supplementation
- Movement Session
Day 4: Periods and Hormones
- Changing hormones and what to expect
- How to use your hormones to your advantage in sport
- Periods: what's normal and what isn't
- Period Products
- Birth Control
- Movement Session
Day 5: Team Morale & Recap
- Treat others as well as you treat yourself
- Camp recap - major take-home messages
- Movement Session

Time: 12pm - 2pm
For Ages: 14 - 18
Cost: $199/ person for the 5 day program
