Kriskindlmarkt is our Appalachian mountain town's version of a European advent market!
Enjoy indoor shopping from artisan vendors throughout "The Mill" (our repurposed, 100+ year old lumber mill behind the School) as well as the main CFSOTA building where you'll find the more artisan vendors. a special exhibit in the Gallery, and more!
Bring your friends and family and come ready for a festive atmosphere, unique shopping, holiday entertainment, German-inspired food and drink, sweet treats, and lots of good cheer. Live entertainment and visits with Santa throughout the event.
You will also want to stroll through our "Garden Illumination" holiday light display that lights up on Friday at dark!
ENTRY FEE: $5 cash admission; free entry for children.
ARTISAN VENDORS: Wood-turned bowls, cutting boards, hand-knit items, bags & purses, soaps, pottery, antique tiles, jewelry, baked goods, and more!
LIVE MUSIC & DANCE: Throughout the event weekend, we will have an array of performances featuring live music and dancing. Santa will join us throughout the event, and our outdoor holiday light display, The Garden Illumination, turns on at dusk on Friday.
FOOD & DRINK: European-style breads & pastries, German beer & authentic Gluhwein (for ages 21+), mulled apple cider, hot chocolate & other beverages, and of course, delicious German food choices!
RAFFLE: Raffles of artisan-made items from Kriskindlmarkt vendors & donors.
Event sponsored by CHEF’s Catering, Cucci’s Pizzeria, and Commonwealth Lifespan Services.
Proceeds benefit Clifton Forge School of the Arts, providing arts education to people of all ages and abilities in the Alleghany Highlands of Virginia
