Welcome to the 13th running of the Heartbreaker Cycling Invitational!The Heartbreaker is an event that traverses some of Gainesville’s most beautiful roads. Featuring Live Oak canopies adorned with Spanish moss, dirt, limerock, gravel and paved roads, this ride has it all.

Meet at 8:30am, roll at 9:15am.
ROUTE: Posted the week leading up to the event, no squawking please.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT BICYCLE CHOICE:
Cyclocross or Mountain bikes are recommended for this ride. The road surfaces are NOT road bike friendly, please leave your road bike at home. Those on Mountain bikes, it is recommended you you fit a faster rolling tire that rolls well on pavement. Heavy, offroad specific tires with lots of knobs will really hurt your speed on the paved sectors.
NFFGS guidelines for all our events:
* The organizers make no claims as to the surface or traffic conditions of any route. We post the maps, you decide to ride.
* These are open public roads with all the hazards included thereon. Know your skills, know your physical limits. Ride at YOUR OWN risk. THE COURSE IS OPEN TO TRAFFIC. PLEASE RESPECT ALL RULES OF THE ROAD.
* We'll be doing our usual pleasant roll out of town together to the agreed "go fast" point, and regroup at the "finish", to ride collectively back into town. Think of the roll out / roll down as social hour on a bicycle :)
Do not litter, be kind to locals. These roads are local to the Gravel Cyclist & NFFGS, we wish to keep our friendly relationships with many of the local landowners. Being a good steward is also part of being a good cyclist.
