The award-winning Afro-Carib Fest is back, bigger and better than ever before.Heritage Skills Development Centre (HSDC) is thrilled to announce the return of the 13th Annual Afro-Carib Fest. Mark your calendars for an unforgettable Saturday, August 24th and Sunday, August 25th, at Thomson Memorial Park (1005 Brimley Road) in Scarborough. From 12 pm to 9 pm on both days, prepare to be captivated by a vibrant showcase of diversity.
The festival will showcase exciting live performances from over 80 local and international artists, a cultural parade, a kids and family zone, a Mr & Miss Afro-Carib Fest showcase, show-stopping dance competitions with cash prizes, and raffle draws with amazing prizes. The event will also feature an interactive drum and dance circle, a busting Afro-Caribbean marketplace with over 70 diverse vendors, as well as an exciting opening ceremony featuring Ontario MPs, MPPs, Councilors, Ministers, and local community leaders.
