For the past 12 years, Shocker Sociology has collaborated with other campus and community co-sponsors to organize and host the interdisciplinary Kansas Gender & Sexuality Conference, which brings together scholars and community practitioners from across our state.
Planning for the 2026 conference is underway, and note - we once again return to the Spring semester.
Be sure to Save the Date and start developing your presentation proposal. The call for abstracts will open shortly, with a priority submission of February 4th.
The goals of the conference are to highlight the scholarly and creative works of students, faculty, staff, and community partners engaged in gender and/or sexuality scholarship while providing an opportunity for interdisciplinary networking.
As always, the conference will be free and open to students, faculty, staff, and interested community members.
