About this Event

This 12th Annual Society for Music Education in Ireland (SMEI) Conference 2024 is a two-day event taking place in University College Cork on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th of November 2024.

This conference will provide a platform for researchers, professionals, scholars, practitioners and musicians to exchange and share their knowledge, information, music, new ideas, and experience in person with peers. This gathering will help delegates to establish research relationships and international partnerships for future collaborations. We hope that the outcome will lead to significant contributions to the knowledge base in the field of Music Education.

We are delighted to announce our two keynote speakers Professor John O'Flynn, Dublin City University and Professor Helen Phelan, Irish World Academy. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Conference dinner will be held on the Friday evening.
