12-Week Beginners Pottery: Wheel Throwing£450 per person — all materials, glazing & firing of up to 16 pots included
Next Term Starts: Week of 5th January 2026
Schedule: 12 weeks of classes over 13 weeks (6 weeks + break + 6 weeks)
Choose: Thursdays 6:30–9pm or Sundays 1:30–4pm
Learn all the fundamentals of wheel throwing and make functional pieces like mugs, bowls, dishes and more. Extra pots can be fired for a small materials fee.
You’ll Learn:
• Clay prep & wheel confidence
• Posture & setup
• Centering, pulling & shaping
• Trimming/turning
• Slip & glaze decoration
• Plus extra demos and project requests
Past Projects: Pasta bowls, dog bowls, chip & dip plates, candlesticks, lemon juicers.
Projects are tailored to your ability.
What to Bring:
Comfy clothes, short fingernails, tied-back hair, no rings/hand jewellery.
Class Details:
• Weekly 2.5-hour sessions (2 hours making + 30 mins tidy)
• All tools & aprons provided
• Please attend most sessions; we can’t swap days due to full classes
• Optional weekly drop-ins for extra practice (bookable 6 weeks ahead)
