Kalinga Literary Festival has emerged as an Annual Flagship event in the global literary calendar and our focus is to rekindle the romance with literature and foster reading and writing habits, especially among the youth. It offers a national platform with a global appeal and bridges the gap between literature in English and other Indian regional languages. Over the past 13 years, KLF has succeeded in showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and has been promoting Indian literature, art and culture at the national and global level. It has organized 3 international literary festivals at Kathmandu and is planning to hold an international literary festival in Bali, Indonesia, and Colombo, Sri Lanka to revive and strengthen intimate ties Kalinga shared with these nations in the past.
The festival hosted over 4000 speakers and welcoming over a million of book lovers from across India. Every year , the festival brings together a diverse mix of the worlds greatest writers, thinkers, humanitarians, politicians, business leaders, sport stars, entertainers on one stage. The 2025 edition of KLF ll continue its tradition of fostering literary thought and engaging with the most pertinent global themes. The 11th edition of the Kalinga Literary Festival will be held at Bhubaneswarr’s Mayfair Hotel and will host an impressive line-up of insightful sessions, performances, book signings, and the simultaneously held Kalinga Art Festival and Mystic Kalinga.
