Join us for a swell time at the 11th Annual Speakeasy Fundraiser benefiting the Western Maine Play Museum. This event aims to support and help children in our community flourish. The Western Maine Play Museum's mission is to inspire children, connect families and build community through exploration, learning and play. Additionally, during this event we will be collecting donations of peanut butter and jelly jars to support the “Anita’s Hope” Backpack Program. The "Anita's Hope" Backpack Program is jointly run by the Tyngtown Club of Wilton and the RSU 9 Community Food Pantry in partnership with the school nurses in our local elementary schools. The program supplies elementary students who may go hungry on weekends or during school vacations with weekly bags of food to take home -- mostly easy-to-prepare items and single-serving snacks. Bags of food are filled by volunteers, delivered to schools, and then quietly placed in students' backpacks by school nurses on Fridays and before longer school breaks. The program is feeding hundreds of hungry children in RSU 9.Your presence is the bee's knees, so dust off your flapper dresses and zoot suits because we’re transporting you back to the glamorous (and slightly scandalous) world of the 1920s! This unique event will feature live music from the amazing band, Ragtime Rebellion, dancing, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and decadent desserts, and cash bar all in a beautifully themed atmosphere, while contributing to a community that nurtures the potential of all children and their families.
