Every year, advocates join together to raise their voices in support of mental health. This year is no exception. We’ll meet in person on Thursday, January 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to call on Vermont leaders and legislators. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream of the morning session will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Our key theme focuses on “Together for Dignity, United for Change: Reclaiming Mental Health in Vermont.” This event is hosted and organized by NAMI Vermont, Vermont Association for Mental Health and Addiction Recovery, and Vermont Care Partners, with the help of cosponsoring organizations.
During the event, attendees will have the option to share their experiences and stories of hope and recovery. Please note that if you plan to share your story in person, you must do so between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m. There are also opportunities to provide testimony at key legislative committees throughout the week.
To register for the event and to share your personal story or testimony, please visit www.namivt.org/advocacy-day.
