About this Event
Bring your family and friends to be celebrities for a day in their own parade where they are the stars!
Already on our eleventh year, join your Texas Knights of Babylon for a family friendly Western-themed Second Line parade around the French Quarter on the Friday of Mardi Gras weekend! Any buckaroos of all ages are welcome.
The Jesters' Reaux-de-Eaux will parade along with the Storyville Stompers brass band, so bring your leftover beads, wear your boots and cowboy hats, and prepare for a rootin' tootin' good time!
This year, we decided to give back to the New Orleans Community that has welcomed so many of us by donating a portion of of the proceeds from the Jesters' Reaux-de-Eaux to of New Orleans which provides special education to those individuals with intellectional and/or developmental disabilities from six years old through adulthood. There will also be a space for an optional additional donation to the Saint Michael Special School when you register.
We'll meet up at 508 Dumaine for a welcome reception to kick off the event from the good folks at Manolito and then begin our wagon train stroll through the quarter for all onlookers to bask in our glory!
All you need to bring is your western duds, and we'll handle the rest! We'll have plenty of fancy cowboy beads to wear and throw! We'll feed you, with Manolito cranking out party trays of the the best Cubanos this side of Havana. We'll also wet your whistle with a tasty beverage to get you ready for parading amongst the revelers. The band will settle in the middle of the Second Line group so that everyone participating can hear the swinging sounds of the Stompers.
