Calling future neuroscientists!Capital Region undergraduate and high school students interested in learning more about the brain and its vital functions are invited to join approximately 40 students from area schools to compete in the eleventh annual Albany Regional Brain Bee on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Similar in format to a traditional spelling bee, this free neuroscience trivia competition is an opportunity for students aged 13-19 to show their neuroscientific skills, and to meet and network with neuroscientists.
Hosted by Albany Medical College’s Department of Neuroscience and Experimental Therapeutics, the Albany Regional Brain Bee is open to participants within a 50-mile radius of Albany, N.Y. The winner will receive a cash prize and qualify for entry into the 2026 USA National Brain Bee championship.
